There are writeups about why Die Hard is an xmas movie, if you don't believe it.

    Can you substantiate your claim?

While Die Hard (great movie, BTW) takes place during the Xmas season, it is NOT a Xmas movie, in that the plot and/or theme is not about the holiday or any components of the holiday, i.e., Santa, presents, religious aspects, etc.

One thing I'd change is instead of Bruce saying, "Yippee-ki-yay, MF", in the spirit of the season, he should've said, "Ho-ho-ho, MF!"

I'll always say it is one.. I mean, i think it has a christmas song at the end and may have some decorations in it or something.. but thats about as far as it goes :-) I mean even the party I believe is some other kinda of party and not a christmas party, I think it's like a party to recognize a sale they made or something. cant really remember.

who'd win in a fight - John McClain or Casey Ryback?

Let's see...street fighter vs. martial artist...Yeah, I'd have to go with Casey.

Thats great, I dont like court..

Do you have family members who like to make movie time into "Talk about me Time" No? Well.. I do.. So until you get someone in you family who likes to never shut up during movies perched next to the tv, please dont talk to me about remembering movie plots, etc.. Whats funny is when commercials come on she gets up and leaves. Then comes back for the action..

I have to go into the room and lock myself in to watch a movie quietly. Then I end up just falling asleep.

It's all good though. I'd rather remember a family members voice or seeing them smile then whether Die Hard is a Christmas movie or not..

Sorry, I'm late. But, well, as an Southern European I always
loved the pompous Brit people doing silly things. Thus, in my
local channel they ran Mr. Bean reruns since the late 80's,
so that's it. They are a true classic.

Every Christmas when I get a gift wrapped and they go above and beyond
wrapping + ribbon, I think of Rowan Atkinson in "Love, Actually",
sprinkling confetti into a double-wrapped package from head height.

Here, the local public broadcaster runs Last of the Summer Wine and Keeping Up Appearances, among others. Always good for a laugh, although I have
probably seen every episode of Keeping Up Appearances multiple times.
