    Re.. the SUBJ, you did that incorrectly. Telegram seems to want to change two dashes side by side into an ellipse. To produce two separate dashes, type two of them and then hit the backspace key. And the closing two dashes have to be AFTER the last char of the subj string, like so:

    --Subj:######--<CR>
    Body of message starts on a new line.

    Otherwise.. the bot will simply take the first 40chars of the first line of a message and use that as the Subj to fido. So, even though you got the --Subj: -- command wrong, it took "?SUBJ:? Telegram bots" as part of the new subject because that is what you placed within the first 40chars of your message anyway.

    Understandable. And unless your board supports utf-8, the ellipses in "?SUBJ:?" wouldn't look right in the subject field.
