    Hey Benny!

    a new precompiled problem ?,

Same problem that ever was. However in this case I updated to slackware64-current dated Friday the 13th and it installed and is now booted on the laptop in question (Acer Swift 3). Also slackware64-15.0 insttalled on there just fine.

    who uses 32bit in 2023 ?,

I don't know. Last one I had was a i486 around 2004-ish. Since it died it has been pure 64-bit here. Also my first x86_64 was built using a cross-compiler on a 32-bit system (dual 933MHz p3's) just before the unofficial demise of 32-bit in this neck of the woods.

we still have no need for the alpha :=)

We'll never know will we? Last time I was offered one was back in 1997-ish and I would have had to pay the shipping. I turned it down. I am guessing it was the right thing to do.

    Life is good,
    Maurice

It is still widely used. I use it on a Raspberry Pi, and on some other low-powered devices (a Wyse thin client) which will not run 64-bit OS.

There are many other examples and use cases.
