The FIFA wants to organize a World Cup in the US, but there are already doubts about whether that's a good idea. ICE (Immigration and Customs Enforcement) is already heavily harassing foreign guests. A boat transporting FIFA personnel to a party was stopped and inspected by ICE. This serves as a clear warning to FIFA that organizing a championship in the US might not be so convenient after all.

There was one Soccer World Cup orgnanized by FIFA back in 1994, what was played in the US. I remember very well because that's the world cup where Maradona was kicked out for positive doping test.
How would you compare both scenarios back 1994 and now?
