Maybe teach your chilren a little discipline, and the school would not have to resort to such matters.
They are there to get an education, not stare at their phones all day.

It's not just my kids, it's all the kids at the school being punished
for something a statistic said.
Statistics ruin lives.
Statistics ruin lives.
It ruins a lot of stuff.
We had a teacher (luckily, I didn't have her class) back in Jr. High
that used to punish the whole class for what one kid did. By the end of the semester, her class was completely unrulely because the normally non-bad kids basically thought that since they did the time, they could
do the crime.

Teachers do that because they want to provoke other children to bully
the one who misbehaved.
Stuff like that is the reason why I wanted to become a teacher when I finished high school. Kids need adults that they can count on.
I thought about becoming a teacher at one point. But my dad was still living at the time and had 40+ years in teaching school. I heard all
the stories about what went on and it only got worse before he retired. So I passed on that.
