Yeah I feel quite sad and flat today. I guess he as part of my childhood and enjoyment of ScFi growing up. I enjoyed his cameos in Fringe years later.
US actor Leonard Nimoy, who played Mr Spock in the cult sci-fi seriesStar
Trek, has died at the age of 83 in Los Angeles, his family has said.
His son, Adam, said he died of end-stage chronic obstructive pulmonary disease on Friday morning.
Last year, the actor revealed he was suffering from chronic lung disease, despite stopping smoking more than 20 years ago.
It was reported earlier this week he had been taken to hospital on 19 February after suffering from chest pains.
He later tweeted: "A life is like a garden. Perfect moments can be had, but not preserved, except in memory."
He signed off with "LLAP" - a reference to his character's famous catchphrase, "Live long and prosper". It was to be his final tweet.

Star Trek marathon tomorrow methinks!
I agree completely. I still haven't made the time to read _I am
Spock_. I heard that this autobiographical tale of psychology is an absolutely astounding read. He's got other ones out there that I've
heard recommended, too, though I can't remember the titles off the top
of my head. He was a smart guy. --- SBBSecho 2.27-OpenBSD
I'll have to look into tht book and other he may have written.

Actually, if any of you get MeTV network, they are doing a showing of a few of his more notable non-trek roles starting at 8pm Eastern Sunday (3/1/15). Might be interesting to see him in roles other than Spock.... Tonight they ran the Amok Time episode during the regular original Star Trek slot.
Truly is a sad day. You know you're getting old when all your childhood starts to disappear.

I will have to check that out; unfortunately I have no networks.
Looks like I'll have to hit IMDB and look up some of his other roles, unless you might have a few off the top of your head worth checking

Yeah, I don't think any cable networks carry it, but we can
get it around here on the old antenna, (usually one of the .x
channels of a bigger station).
