What exactly did ChatGPT tell you that was helpful in this matter?
I had ChatGPT create a java script to read the msgs.ini and create a "goldedarea.txt file with group ID's, sorted by ID, put in my Golded directory and read by same. Works great. One for Windows and one for Linux.

I'm surprised ChatGPT was able to create a working JavaScript script
to do that for you. I've seen people ask ChatGPT things about
Synchronet and it would usually get things wrong - but it would still sound confident in what it gave you.
