• It's for a good cause, or something...

Humble has another sale, and though I don't usually point out specific
bundles, this one in particular caught my eye:

    * Dungeons & Dragons Classic Collection Bundle https://www.humblebundle.com/games/dungeons-dragons-classics-collection

Sure, we can pretend it's for a good cause, and I suppose it isn't
entirely untrue (a snippet of the money you pay goes to the Covenant
House charity, which helps feed the disadvantaged) but let's be frank:
mostly the reason to get this bundle is because you get a lot of games
on the cheap (30 games for $25USD), and a lot of those games are
classics that deserve to be in your library.

Sure, it can be hard to get into some of these games; a few of them
are pushing four decades at this point. That doesn't mean they aren't
worth the effort though; eye-gouging as the graphics may be with a few
of these games, they're still quite fun once you get into them. And
the sheer nostalgia factor of many of these titles smooths over a lot
of their faults anyway. But a handful remain fun /despite/ their age
(I personally think "Stronghold", the "Dark Sun" games, and the "Al
Qadim" games hold up quite well). And c'mon, can you really call
yourself a "real" PC gamer if you haven't at least TRIED the classic
    Gold Box games? ;-)

So there's really no excuse not to get these games. They're cheap.
They're fun. They're for charity. They make The Number go up
dramatically. Why are you still waiting?
