    Damn. Thursday again. I'm not ready. Let's just assume I've said
    something clever in this introduction and get straight to the games.

    * 112 Operator

    By now, I just assume everybody either has this game
    already, it's been offered as a freebie (at least twice
    by me!) so often. It's not a terrible game --you take
    on the roll of an emergency call operator and dispatch
    emergency aid as appropriate-- but neither is it a
    standout. It's a quick casual game that you play a few
    times, say, "hey that's neat", and move on. Yet it keeps
    getting offered as a freebie as if it's some incredible
    game that will surely excite people. Anyway, as the
    title implies, this is the European version (there's a
    US version, "911 Operator", that Epic will probably
    follow-up with in a few weeks, even though it's exactly
    the same game).

    * Road Redemption
    https://store.epicgames.com/en-US/p/road-redemption-ce16fb
    Remember "Road Rash"? Yeah, this is the same game except
    for modern hardware and without any of the original's
    character. It's not a bad game mechanically, although as
    I recall its controls were sort of janky, but not great.
    The whole experience became tiresome very quickly, and
    there's just not enough meat to the game. It's worth a
    look if you love the "Road Rash" games, but more for
    the nostalgia than the gameplay.

    Two games, not bad. You've got the usual seven days to claim these
    before they're gone. Me, I've got seven days to think up something
    clever to start next week's announcement. ;-P
