    it'll survive my backlog, but I picked it up. Thank you!

    Last Day of June had an interesting vibe too, and dealt with profound
    loss and grief. Gris dealt with depression in the abstract. Our games are growing up, and that's a good thing I think.

    I mean, games -especially the Indies-- have been pushing the corner of
    this envelope for a while, merging gameplay, artistry and messaging.
    Aside from others already mentioned, "Firewatch" (2016) too, dealt as
    much with the difficulties of a man in a troubled relationship as it
    did with the superficial exploration. "Gone Home" (2013) was about how
    a family was dealing with its own internal problems. "This War Of
    Mine" (2014) dealt with how warfare affected the civilians rather than
    focusing on the blood-n-guts combat like most games. Hell,
    "Planescape" central theme was the philosophic question 'What makes a
    person what he is' way back in 1999. Games have been trying to surpass
    their role as escapist fantasies for decades.

    This one though, however important its topic, is just a bit too grim
    for me to want to add to my library.
