• FREE GAME: Who Knows

    From Spalls Hurgenson@spallshurgenson@gmail.com to comp.sys.ibm.pc.games.action on Thu Dec 11 11:16:23 2025

This is my announcement to tell you I don't have an announcement about
the free game on Epics this Thursday. Because while I didn't forget
about it this week, Epic did.

Well, technically, Epic didn't forget to post a freebie this week.
Rather, they delayed the announcement by 12 hours; apparently they're
tying it into the "Game Awards", which I think is a TV show? Anyway,
if that's the only way to figure out what the freebie is, somebody
else is going to have to figure it out because I certainly have no
    intention of watching it.

But I would have happily told you what the free game was had Epic not
decided to change things up. I still should get the Internet points!
    ;-)

Maybe that means it'll be good. I won't have the time to watch it, I
guess I'll find out tomorrow... or not. Nice of them to tell us how to
    watch it /s

Eh, it might suck. I care not. Wait, is this the first time Epic is doing this? IIRC, they did daily giveaway during the holidays?

Apparently it's on YouTube because I had it show up in my Youtube
homepage when I was eating lunch and watching something.

Yes, this is the first time they've done this. Yes they gave away games
every day previously, though I think it only started 2 weeks before
Christmas (which would be today I think,) and was mostly repeats.

Was it interesting? If so, then I might watch its replay.

It's Hogwarts: Legacy. They must have been hammering out a last minute

Having trouble with ES, I saw that earlier today but couldn't post.

Great offering! Although it was just on sale for $9 or something last
    week.

At least I have it on PC now if I want to replay it and use the mod that
fixes the not very good flying broom controls.
