Supermarket car-park near a string of about six Tesla Car re-chargers
.... but there was a MG plugged in getting Re-charged.

I'd never thought about this before but I was expecting Tesla branded car-chargers to only recharge Tesla branded cars but, apparently that is
not the case. I spoke to the cars owners for a couple of minutes and
they said there were at least two different types of Chargers that they
knew of.

Who would have thought!!

At some point this will have to be unified... just as any car that uses standard gas can use a common gas station.

On a side note, to have fun, I was in a store a while back and saw next to the check out "USB Car Chargers". I asked the cashier how long it takes a USB Car Charger to charge a car? She thought for a minute and said she should ask her manager because she was not sure.

I stopped her to let her know I was joking. Some people just are... special!

There are adaptors for existing cars, and the industry is now
standardizing on the Tesla plug. At least in the US.

Well, for instance wayland doesn't work in my vmware, because my vmware doesn't support 3D graphics in hardware. Wayland is still not finished
and is problematic.

Whether those things matter for a plain user or not, varies, but they
are not cosmetic or superficial features.

and is problematic.

Would likely work for much of what I do, but Parallels is faster (or so I have read from multiple reviews). Also has better drag-and-drop integration and the like, which I use but could live without.

Certainly not discouraging its use.
